The spring sunshine was shining brightly this morning for Woking Junior parkrun #213. Four Woking GG members carried out various volunteering duties at this 2K run.

James was run director who encouraged more kids to join the warm up lead team – it was great to see a few new kids come up to the bandstand to join in!

Adam volunteered for the first timers briefing and time keeping, both pretty busy roles this morning!

Anne was marshalling, cheering on the 116 kids as they ran/jogged/walked past, Abi gave out the finish tokens as they went through the finish funnel and I was there to scan their barcodes when they finished.

Lots of fast runners today, led by a girl who finished with an impressive time of 7:03! A massive 41 PBs today, and 14 first timers! Happy smiles all around from many of the kids who took part – fantastic running by all!
