Report written by Rachel White
Our Tuesday Group Run task started before we had even all assembled at the Quaker Centre car park. Dave and I arrived just as there was a loud crash and we watched in awe as the metal fences that had previously been used as the boundary in the garden came crashing down from the top of a van trailer. Dave leapt into action and scaled the back of the truck, loading the metal fences and tying them down fast. Well done Dave - our real life Iron Man.
Once our team of superheroes had assembled, Supergirl Jassy led our warm up in Fairfield Park - putting her Run Leader training to good use. Once we all had warmed up we did our lap of Fairfield Park and flew off to Growbaby. On arrival we met with Wonderwoman Petra and got straight to work. Iron Man and Sevan, who we shall rename Thor for this run report as he wielded the magic hammer (mallet), were tasked with building the shelf. Adam (Daredevil) got to work making space and moving items from the basement up the stairs. Whilst Kate (The Invisible Woman) organised the items and got them ready to bring down once the shelf was complete.
Even though we had gone to lots of trouble bringing Thor's hammer (the mallet), I had completely forgotten that Growbaby had ordered a pop up shelf, Thor's hammer (the mallet) was not needed - doh! Nevertheless, it only saved us time and the job was done quickly as many superhero hands make light work. Once we had cleared up we headed back off into the night - getting ready to save the day at the next Tuesday group run.
Signing off for the eve,

Didn't realise how much like a horror movie villain I looked like with the mask and mallet!
