This is a job that would have taken me an entire day! - Neil, task owner

We were happy to be back at Newcastle Eagles arena tonight where we'd been given multiple warnings by task owner Neil that we were definitely going to get a bit mucky and wet!

Wellies at the ready (on Dan, anyway) we arrived at the arena ready for anything and totally up for getting stuck in. Tonight's task was to empty the bin store and give it a deep clean - glamorous, no?

Neil got us a little paranoid by mentioning RATS (of which there turned out to be none) so we moved quickly with the first job of moving the huge bins out before getting stuck into some sweeping and hosing which Team Laws (Louise and Dan) took charge of along with Neil.

Charlotte and I were tasked with dismantling some advertising boards which turned out to be hilarious as they either snapped dramatically with a bang, or folded in such a difficult way that they were impossible to pack into the bins. Aimee and Amy got the job of litter picking around the car park ready for a match later this week.

The time flew over tonight and it was soon time to reassemble the bins back in the sparkling clean store. Check out that "after" picture!

This was a small job with a big difference, and definitely an unexpected tough workout to keep us warm.

If you want to get involved in another quick tidy-up task, there is a Quayside litter pick this Thursday too!
