A trip East for the race this morning

Graham,Hilary,Kevin and I arrived and what to wear for the race was the main topic of conversation.....will it rain...will the wind pick up....it was an easy decision for Gman as he only had what he arrived in...general consensus was we come pass the bag drop every lap so we can change if need to.

Simon joined us just before the start.

Hilary Graham Kevin and I had signed up for the half and Simon the ultra.

Being a loop race the lead runners come past you....yes I was passed a few times by Hilary Graham and Simon.

Hilary was awesome and won the womens race (again) and beat her course record,think she was also 2nd runner home

Graham came in 4th.....was in 3rd but damn that toilet stop....

Simon decided that 50k was not the way to go today....and completed 14 laps which is 28k pretty awesome considering he did 50k last weekend.

Kevin and I just went slow and steady as we knew we hadn't done enough long distance training runs.....the furthest we have run in over a year.
