Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Anastasia Hancock (she/her)
This week's fitness challenge was to solve all 8 clues which took Hounslow GGers to the sites of various previous tasks over the course of 7kms - a massive well done to all of you who cracked the questions! Look out for another fitness task to be completed over the coming week very soon.
In the meantime, here are the answers (apologies for the mistake in clue 8!) and some great pics from Andy...
Clue 1:
Direct those speedy feet
To this place we gave a spruce
When water meets with heat
What does it produce?
The Water and Steam Museum
Clue 2:
In the war against pollution
Contaminating the Thames
GoodGym provides the solution
Picking plastic with our friends
Kew Bridge slipway
Clue 3:
Here we wrestled with a stubborn tree
And forgot those pesky gate codes
We scooped up leaves and other debris
At a school just off the Thames Road
Strand on the Green Primary School
Clue 4:
Our gardening skills are arbitrary
But there's a reason to be smug:
Healthy Chiswick trees of cherry
From all those soil beds that we dug
Staveley Rd cherry trees
Clue 5:
Marriages and town meetings
And our weekly meeting spot
Despite excessive central heating
It was our favourite place to squat
Chiswick Town Hall
Clue 6:
Here despite our obvious fitness
And impressive digging style
We found we still could not diminish
That enormous compost pile
Cultivate London - Enfield Rd
Clue 7:
Amid the enormous wall of brambles
That we battled to get clear
Despite the thorns that scratched our ankles
An ancient lodge did finally appear
Gunnersbury Park (the old lodge)
Clue 8:
The Packhorse did our fave grub
But at the Lamb we'd never hang out
Will we someday try this fast pub
Found on Chiswick roundabout?
The Express Tavern
