York Council contacted us in a panic asking for urgent help. They had thousands of bulbs to plant and no one to do it. The local schools had already done their best, but there were just too many bulbs! These bulbs won't keep!! Someone's got to get them in the ground before Christmas!!! Can anyone help???? Anyone????! Well yes, as it happens, we can.

Seven of us met promptly at 10:30am by Crichton Avenue shops. At about 10:40, we realised we were in the wrong place so we headed over to the other end of Kingsway North where Kristina was waiting for us. In our defence, no one was there when we checked a bit earlier.

After a quick briefing, we got to work digging holes along the roadside borders and filling them with lots of bulbs. If we'd paid more attention, we could probably tell you what the bulbs will turn into. I'm going to guess flowers. We were pretty efficient, and had got through the entire lot in about an hour.

It was pretty nippy so we all popped to the new Clifton Library for well earned coffee, cake and various bit of lunch. Whilst we were there, we were amazed to see GoodGym on the tv screens.
