GOODGYM WOKING NEWS

a busy weekend of races last weekend, so lots of praise :

  • A massive well done to Florent who competed in the Guildford 10km
  • James who helped raise money and support the rainbow trust in the Royal Parks Half Marathon
  • Holly (me) who was racing at OCR World Championships on Friday and Sunday - in horrible wet and very muddy conditions.

And a couple of Good lucks for this weekend:

  • Adam and James will be racing this week at Loosley Park in the Kelly's charity run - Good luck and enjoy the scenic loop and hills.

  • Myself, Nick and Rebecca will be heading to Wales to hike up Cadair Idris on Saturday- might be a little wet and windy!

LAST NIGHT'S GROUP RUN

Last night we had a slight change of plan of task, so instead of Brockhill (which will be next week) we instead went out to do some leafleting for HomeStart. Home Start is a charity looking for volunteers to help a local family this is based in the Woking and Runnymede area.

With head torches on and at the ready to was time to spread the news. After all were gone it was time for speed work and exercises. We headed to the park for some 1km loops and progressive exercises.

NEXT WEEK

Remember to sign up for next week - we will be meeting at the WWF and heading to Brockhill.... please remember your head torch.
