Mr T's front garden was wild...the gravel was not visible, the climbers had reached the roof, the brambles and rose bush had encroached the neighbours front gardens. Although in many ways, so called 'over-growth' and 'weeds' give me satisfaction as proof that nature can recover from human-made things, we could see that taming this garden was essential.

Ella and I cycled in sun down Balkerne Hill and up Highwoods hill to meet a member of staff who showed us where to go, introduced us to Mr T and gave us our tools.

An hour and a half of chopping, pulling, getting pricked by brambles and chatting whilst listening to a soundtrack of 60's Rock n' Roll proved enough to have made a good impact. The job is far from done, but a good start that Mr T could not have done himself.

He was very grateful and wished us a happy summer.

Bravo Ella and I am sure whoever does the next mission will complete the job...
