The January chill and darkness didn't deter us last night as two Goodgymmers made the rounds at Walnut tree house. Following a quick litter pick we set about clearing some moss in the seating area, with a little chat about Christmas and our daughters' woes.
Join us for a Tuesday night task soon!

A brisk circuit around Cowdray avenue area, trying to stick to the better lit parts, to be able to find the litter. Unfortunately, anything that glistens has a strong chance of being a wet leaf, and often is! However, due to bags of tenacity and determination we managed to fill four sacks. Well done everyone! It became mighty chilly, so we bid farewell to the cyclists, and headed home. Thanks for the chats, see you next time!

6 GoodGymers, plus a couple of junior assistants, helped to Marshal the Colchester Junior Park Run on Sunday. The core team that run the event were very relieved to have had our help as they were anticipating having to cancel the event before they knew we were coming.
We clapped and cheered and made sure everyone was safe and knew where they were going.
Look out for another JPR marshaling opportunity coming your way in a couple of months!
p.s. I did try to find a good pun for the title, but even with a google search of "pun for marshaling a run" I still didn't come up with one. I did however stumble across the following wise words of running advice/motivation:
"Remember, the second most important thing to choosing the right shoe is choosing the left one." - Unknown
"Jogging is very beneficial. It's good for your legs and your feet. It's also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed." - Charles Schulz

There's a 'Marshall's matter' pun on Marshall Mathers somewhere, I can't quite get it though
