Well, it's officially Autumn and the weather has certainly changed - but goodgym continues no matter what.

10 of us got together at Sport Wales National Centre for our second visit to help at St. Dyfrig & St Samson Church. We split into two groups, those jogging to the task and those walking, with an additional person meeting us there on their bike.

The task at hand, to tidy up the yard and finish off the weeding and clearing that we hadn't quite managed last time. Also, putting up three new signs to try to stop people parking in front of the gates as they need to be clear for use. We grabbed our gloves and tools and set straight to work, with shovels, brushes and a trowel we hit the greenery a began the clearing, whilst Emma, Aimee and Dalma got handy with the signs.

30 minutes passed by so quickly, we had full bins, a clear yard space and some smashing new signs. The clouds suddenly filled the sky as darkness loomed overhead, a storm was brewing and we knew from earlier in the week what this would entail. A quick group photo, and then the storm started.

We hid under some trees, whilst trying to see if it was going to stop, looking for a break in the clouds. But it wasn't too long before we accepted defeat and just embraced the rain. We discovered tonight one important thing: Waling in crocs barefoot in the rain is NOT a good idea.

And a big Diolch yn fawr, to Aimee for the pun for tonight's report based on the wonderful Ace of Base song.
