5 GG Yorkies headed to Chapman's Pond for a very simple mission: rake all the grass

There was a bit of excitement as the secretary of Friends of Chapman's Pond, Helen, had made cake (a promise made and kept after our last mission there!) for after.

The other bit of excitement was that we had council rakes, they're the big sturdy wooden ones that mean you can give your raking some welly.

There were three main areas that had been power-scythed, all the grass needed raking up and the grand plan is to transform one of the bigger areas into a wildflower meadow.

We raked up all the grass whilst newish Nick forked and barrowed all the piles into big heaps for composting.

In just under an hour, we were done and we celebrated with a lovely big chunk of lemon drizzle, hurrah!
