Woking GG sweep and mop the floors at Woking Foodbank
Another sunny evening in Woking and we had a good turn out for Woking GG. We met at Woking leisure Centre again, seems to be working well with regards to car and bike parking.
We started off with a gentle 1km jog to The Light House which is situated near the train station. As soon as we got there we got given our task of hoover/sweeping and mopping the floors of the food bank, this helps keep the mice away.
We had
Lou and Sandy on Hoovering duties
George and Holly on Sweeping
Cat, Tiffany, Barbara and Anne on Mopping
The Light House is beautiful building with so much going on to help the community. With a lovely Cosy Cafe to help raise money. Bread making and craft classes and a support system called Esteem to help ladies get back into work. This is all run by volunteers and is a great place with a lovely feel to it. I know we will be back to try out the cafe.
After our cleaning was finished we heading back to Woking Park to complete a circuit session. In total we managed to complete 4km with many body weight exercises to help.
Next week we are at the RSPCA Please remember to sign up to next weeks group run, remember we will meet there and I think they have some more gardening planned for us. If you have any of your own gardening gloves then please bring them.
Hill Training If you fancy some extra hill training - every Thursday we complete a 4km Hill loop which is situated on the Maultway - we start at 7:30pm. If you fancy coming along - give Nick a text - 07530220535
