Unique conditions for our last session of the year, with slick iced-over pavements and most of Sunday's snow still apparent. We discussed our favourite task of the year; free artistic license to paint a shrimping boat, helping Cody Dock pack-down a secret a party and digging out a bed at Abbey Gardens and tearing apart the old structure.
Off to the aforementioned we went, Paul emerged out of the snow and bolstered our numbers. Shifting two lots of compost, of varying levels of decomposition, into two new zones. The session began with Kev, Paul and I using all of our available energy for the session to successfully tip-over a tonne bag of soil. Then a solid dig from Shaz, Gualti and Hils, Kev did the transporting. Paul and I were on lumberjack duty, pulling over a chopped down tree, snapping and sawing at its frozen woody body. Three quarters of an hour on the job and we were all done, rather satisfyingly so too. No one had fallen on their arse, or had to saw an index finger off due to frost bite, a nod to GoodGym Newham's versatility - an all-weather ready machine.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year team, thanks for some cracking Wednesdays this year, I look forward to catching up with you all in '23.
Till then,
