Mr L has a very overgrown back garden, so four GG Yorkies came to the rescue on a lovely Thursday evening

The first task was to clear a pathway in so that more than one person could get into the space. Then there was a free for all on brambles, nettles, ivy and any other weed you could possibly think of. As we worked there were regular cries of-

Ouch!

There were a lot of prickly things to destroy!

We worked on a strategy of putting the spikey stuff in the green bin and saving the softer stuff for the slightly too flimsy bin bags. Once the bin was full, we got Ed to compact it by jumping on the top of it so we could fit in even more.

After an hour we all decided to give it another 30 minutes, reserving the last 15 for bagging all the green waste. Little did we suspect that it would be pretty dark by then, making the near impossible task of bagging evil prickle sticks that instantly tore through the plastic bags, a tad more challenging!

Ed suggested the 'inside out duvet method' which, though didn't work, did lead to the confession that he sometimes likes to climb inside his duvet cover and pretend to be a ghost.

Next up was the 'double bagging' method, where I jumped on a bag that was brimming with not quite contained brambles to compact it, then tried to pack it into another bag. Didn't work.

Meanwhile, Georgie and Angela were having considerably more success with their 'folding' method. This involved picking up a small pile of prickle sticks, folding them, and pushing them into an open bag. When asked how she was avoiding getting spiked, Georgie just shrugged and replied nonchalantly that she wasn't.

12 sacks of brambles, nettles and other things with thorns later, we called it a night.

It was too dark for Mr L to be able to check out the results of our work, but he assured us that GoodGym had never done a bad job for him yet!

You are amazing, thank you sounded like a tough job, and yet it is a funny read.
