6 hardy GG'ers braved the cold once more for another essential gritting task. Grit was in short supply so we went for 3 pairs and 3 half-barrows; Ellie 'n' Debs at the top end, Paulsopps down the pagoda and centre, and Jackie and Abi at the playpark end. It didn't take long to fill in the gritless gaps, and within a record time of 18mins the whole park was done. Back to the hut for an anti-corrosion sweep of the tools, and a karate kid pic, and we were all done before lock-in. Champion

Conservation work, edible planting, annual fairs and Christmas carols, pop-up cafes, fundraising to develop the park and playground, campaigning against cuts to the park's budgets, locking and unlocking the park each day and night, involving the community in decision-making about the park, children's and family activities, volunteering opportunities, etc etc!!
