Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kash
The last mission of the day brought the notorius Ealing gardening duo to a Fort Knox of Mr J's memorabilia situated somewhere by the border between South Acton and Chiswick. The place believed to have a complex security system was defeated by the GoodGymers by pure chance by tailing a resident who just entered the front gate.
After a few knocks on the door, Sevan and Kash were greeted by Ms J's carer who was about to leave. Ms J herself was waiting in the kitchen. Her name, appearance, the way she spoke and the company of teddy bears of all shapes and sizes reminded Kash of a person she helped on her very second GoodGym task in another house close to South Acton. The connection made sense as Ms J moved to her new place in April. She still hadn't managed to go through the heavy boxes piled up in the wardrobe and cupboard.
Sevan and Kash were tasked with unpacking the cartons and revealing what's inside them for Ms J to decide what she wants to take out. The mission status after the first three boxes was not promising at all. Ms J decided to keep all the cookbooks, stereo speakers and teddy bears inside the cartons and put the boxes back in the wardrobe. She then informed GoodGymers that the most important artefact they should look for was the photo album with pictures of her beloved parents. It was finally discovered in the box with ornaments. There were a few more items Ms J decided to unpack: a radio, a photo of her younger self, a frame with a dog photo and an old wall clock. She claimed that the ticking of the latter would help her falling asleep.
After playing Tetris with the boxes, Sevan and Kash moved almost all of them to the cupboard and freed space in the wardrobe. The last part of the task was the assessment of Ms J's clothes. After being presented by Kash to Ms J, the clothes were distributed across three possible destinies: land in the drawer, go back to the cupboard or be put by Sevan on a hanger and placed on the wardrobe rail.
Still having an extra 30 minutes after completing the task, the GoodGymers asked if there is anything else they could do. Ms J wanted a few items to be hanged on the walls but unfortunately her hammer and nails apparently have been nicked by her ex-partner.
