𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 #60 – 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙠!

A frosty start to the day wasn’t going to keep anyone away from event #60 – a huge congratulations to the 63 juniors who joined us today! Here are some of the highlights from today’s event:

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨: 5 juniors joined us for their first time at Florence Park today, 3 of these for their first ever junior parkrun! We’re always delighted to see new faces, and we hope you’ll drop by again soon! 🍀

𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: a particularly chilly April morning greeted us at the start line today, but today’s Warmer-Upper Ben had us ready to go in no time. Conditions were a little tricky due to a few lingering slippery patches of ice along the paths – careful out there, runners! ❄️⛸

𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀: Wilfred, Magnus and Oliver ran their 11th junior parkrun, reaching the half-marathon milestone, and Martha ran her 21st to make it a full marathon – a massive congratulations to all of you‼️

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱! The old hands at Florence Park might’ve noticed that we had some new hands with us today! Several of our marshals were kitted out with our beautiful new foam hands, and were greeted with high fives aplenty from our juniors as they dashed around the course the course this morning. You’ll definitely be seeing these again at future events! 5️⃣ 𝗣𝗕𝘀: no doubt spurred on by all the high fives, 13 juniors smashed out new PBs this morning – fantastic efforts everyone! 🧚‍♀️

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀: 18 high-vis heroes made our event happen today, and we’re grateful to our friends at Goodgym Oxford for joining us on today’s roster 🏃🏽‍♀️
