This was a brand new task, helping Projects4Change who do brilliant Youth Work within the North East.
They have been recently given a plot of over grown land, which they would love to renovate so that it can be used for their Youth Work projects for young people in the Community
The site was massively overgrown but has great potential to be a brilliant Community space. The weather was (typical June) awful and absolutely tipping it down.
I got there first, and met Kelly from Projects4Change, followed by Aimee and Rachel (Big kudos to Rachel for Running all the way their in the rain)
We definitely love a challenge, even in the rain. We soon got stuck in to weeding, litter picking and clearing out random objects including a mini bus seat and some underpants! (We had to accept that the pool table was too heavy to pick up between us!)
We decided that there is definitely something refreshing about being outdoors, talking and getting stuck in.
Have a look at the before and after photos! The best thing that we uncovered was an AMAZING mosaic on the ground!
There is still so much to do, and I'm sure we will be back again very soon
