What a great evening and which a pleasure to see this request come to fruition.

This evening 9 GoodGym Coventry members support Kairos as they develop their outdoor area.

There was an immense amount of budlea and brambles alongside the building as well as garden debris to the rear and even more budlea and brambles further back.

As normal, the GoodGym team were unphased and got on with the task and transformed the outdoor area.

It was really great to meet John and he was a great help with the budlea and brambles clearing the rear with Lil and Susan. Laura and Maddie ensured the paths were clean and tidy and Jackie and Vic ensured that the captain of our skip, Allan, was kept busy keeping it skip-shape. Many thanks to The Kitchens Inc for supporting Kairos in sourcing the skip.

Kairos WWT Garden Sanctuary Space
Clearing an old run down garden space to create a therapeutic garden space for our charity and its beneficiaries.

Kairos Women Working Together supports women who are at risk of or have experienced sexual exploitation or are involved in on street prostitution in Coventry. Kairos WWT provides both holistic one to one support, as well as group support to women. We run a weekly evening outreach and drop-in for women involved in on-street prostitution. We also have a specialist housing practitioner, supporting women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As well as criminal justice workers, supporting women to navigate the criminal justice system. Kairos WWT's women's centre offers a safe place for women to get support, get access to basic provisions, as well as be listened to, and access emotional support. We need help to strip and redo our garden area, currently not in use, to create a peaceful and therapeutic space for the women to relax in, as well as learn to garden, care for plants, and hopefully one day, cook food with what they have grown.
