Leafing on a Wet Train, Don't know when we'll be back again (well tomorrow actually!)
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the Friends of West Bank Park and City of York Council in York.

Having cancelled all our park sessions during lockdown the council specified leaf clearing as an essential safety task so this was the 2nd of our 3 leaf clearing sessions at West Bank Park. We were tasked with clearing the leaves out of the younger children's play area. 6 of us managed to nearly fill 4 compost bins, focusing on clearing the hard surfaces that could become slippy if the leaves were left. There were still plenty left for tomorrow's group but we definitely made a sizeable dent in them. Jonathon, Jackie, Helen and Laura swept big piles of leaves while Leanne and Amy used the leaf hands to help transfer onto the tarpaulin and wheelbarrows. Kristina created even bigger piles for us to clear up with the leaf blower. A couple of us helped Kristina to put everything back in the shed at the end and then played hunt the missing brush. A very short game as it turned out. It was a lovely crisp evening for the task and we all enjoyed the opportunity to be out.
