What a night - Goodgym Ipswich on TV.

We were followed throughout this evening's run and task by BBC Look East cameras for an item to go out tomorrow night. Judging by the amount of footage taken it could turn into a box set!

We met a little earlier than usual at the request of BBC so they could film some set pieces before we headed off on our run. So after the initial filming they wanted footage of us setting off, which took a couple of false starts.

Our destination was a return to Brickmakers Wood, where we had first visited a few weeks ago. This time for an indoor job. On arrival we were met by Jo and Rob and they explained the task which was tidy and organise the huge shed/warehouse which was full off pallets, donated wood, scrap metal, and a vast collection of old furniture, including some fridges and freezers.

Everyone dived in enthusiastically, and slightly excitedly, due to the chance of regional TV stardom! Mountains of pallets were stacked, huge piles of scrap metal eroded and all manner of furniture including a sofa, freezer and a chicken house.

Once cleared the areas were swept, which created a small dust storm, and cobwebs brushed from the walls and ceilings.

One of the questions from Jonathan the Look East reporter was "Can you really make an impact in 30 - 40 minutes?" Looking across the warehouse as we finished the evidence was indisputable....we had made huge difference. With 17 of us prepared to really get stuck in, the amount achieved equated to a full days work for 1 or 2 people.

The run back unintentionally included some hill reps as the camera man couldn't get the footage he wanted - a Beatles-esque Zebra crossing shot - and we were requested to head back up the incline a few times.

Arriving back at our base we used the giant "Question Mark" sculpture as a prop for a last (wo)man standing Wall Sit Challenge. Kudos to everyone with highly impressive effort all round; and 6 tough cookies still in as the clock hit 5 minutes, a draw was declared.

So, a wonderful night and we all headed home to set up Sky+ for tomorrow evening.

I saw it on BBC Look East this evening. We'll have to organise a GoodGym Norwich vs GoodGym Ipswich race at some point! Glad it's all going well :-)
