Despite half our group being stuck at work, six dedicated GoodGymers met up on what felt like a late summer evening to help clean up Chelmsford. We headed off along the bunny walks to pick up the usual litter left by the patrons of the Riverside McDonald's. However, on arriving there we were surprised to find that McDonald's was closed for refurbishment. "Where will the people of Chelmsford go for their Big Macs now?!" we cried before remembering that Chelmsford is home to approximately 34 Mcdonald's. With that in mind, we continued our mission along the river.

We were even more shocked to discover very little litter as we walked but we persevered and soon ended up with a respectable amount of litter which Richard managed to shove into a bin. It was still relatively early, so our run leader, Rich, decided to challenge our patience by having us gather beneath a lamppost for 10 minutes while he mastered the intricacies of his phone's camera. Once the task was completed, the walkers bid their farewells, while the rest of us made our way back to the university.

Thanks all for coming. This run report was generously provided by Joel, If you enjoyed reading it, please like, comment and subscribe.

P.S. Don't forget your head torches from now on as it was pretty dark out (would have been nice if someone had reminded us this week!)
