Sunshine and Hills improving our mental health.

Its been a while since we have headed to the hills for some hills training. My mistake was bringing along two dogs, one who loves running and one who was physically dragged up the hills!

Adam, Abi and James met myself and the two pooches at the lightwater country park car park. Abi showing us all up by running the 4km to the car park to meet us!

The sun was out and the hills were on good form, with the lack of rain we were struggling with the dusty loose down hill sections.

I was trying to be extra careful as 2 weeks ago I was in hospital with a balloon for an ankle. This was difficult when being pulled down hill by the two strong dogs.

We all managed to complete the loop with no injuries! always a bonus!

And weirdly enough we all enjoyed the experience and there were smiles at the end and all the way round the hilly loop.

220m elevation gain & 5.57km in distance

Due to a change in group run tasks - we will be back next week to take on the hills - meeting at the maultway car park instead
