Report written by Brahma Pochee
Clear skies and blowy winds lent to a cold eve in Newham, well for most, our lot were wrapped just right and getting hotter with each bouncy step.
We welcomed Beatrice for her first session, she seamlessly integrated, cruised the run and got involved. Justin returned from a stint away, some say he has the same carbon footprint as Senegal, but all I know is we welcomed his return with open arms.
A little random weekly question action before we set off, "if there was an extra day of the week, that you could commit to a new hobby, what would you do?" From couch dwelling, to violin mastery, bouldering zen, wood turning creativity (just googled, sign me up),piano prancing and fighting class (though we all decided G is too nice for that).
Simon had thought out some indoor jobs for us this week. Organising the numerous wood beams in the workshop, moving lots of furniture from the Frost Fair (highly recommended), removing the photo exhibition, sanding and painting doors, putting up Burns Night decorations and oiling a dried out floor. All in a night's work, obviously. Simon told us about the new visitor centre that is going to dominate the docks, solar panels on top, vast circular windows overlooking the water with a structure made from hempcrete (which is apparently carbon negative). Onwards at Cody Dock.
Thanks for your company last night guys, one more to go till we welcome in 2020, our crowd keeps growing, here's to welcoming in more top class folk next year.
See you all next week for the GoodGym Annaul Awards, practise your acceptance speeches....but first we help the awesome Angela at the adventure playground, sign up
Till next you beauts
