Report written by Laura P (she/her)
Bright and early on the first of three (!) bank holidays in the coming weeks (thanks John!), three Goodgymers ran/cycled to Earlsdon High Street just outside Coventry city centre to support the setup of the popular Earlsdon Street Festival. Our task for the morning was to support stall holders with unloading their cars ready for the 10am start.
After a quick coffee power up, stall holders started to arrive and we made quick work of emptying cars and helping to set up ready for a busy community event! It was lovely to see stalls run by friends of GoodGym Coventry: Friends of Spencer Park, Friends of War Memorial Park, Carriers of Hope and the Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind and to spread the word about GoodGym! As we helped we were also making a mental note of which stalls to come back to later on!
After we had finished helping we popped into a Coventry City of Culture photography exhibition in the woods ‘Reform the norm: Motherland’

I don't think there are ANY more Bank Holidays this May! Anyway I hope to join you if there's a task on Tuesday 14th June as I'm in Coventry for a conference.
