Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Becky Moylett
7 hardy GGers braved the rain, proving that GoodGym never leave a job unfinished (well, not for long anyway).
Upon arrival, Iain quickly declared that he was here to provide for our every need. When it rapidly became obvious that he was mostly referring to gardening equipment, GoodGym, always looking on the bright side, rapidly became excited about gloves.
Mel: "they protect all your delicate bits!"
At first the task seemed daunting, but reinforcements rapidly arrived in the form of Debs and Bec, who threw themselves into the work. While the lack of "Team Tall" was briefly mourned for dragging work, a new, smaller (more efficient size to work ratio) team quickly establishes itself and got to work.
"we don't need no four person drag!"
Rough roles became settled:
Jo - as resident artist became the raker
Becky - as useless as wheelbarrowing (had to ask Mitch for help) shovelled
Bec - fab at all things, everywhere, anywhere, probably all at once
Mitch - barrowing. Occasionally soiling himself in the process.
Katie - barrowing. Less incidents than Mitch in the process.
Mel - shoveller and cheerleader, serenading all.
Debs - offerer of affectionate, casual yet useful violence.
Debs: "want your sides bashing in, duck?"
With such classics as "Hey Mitchy you're so fine" and "every day I'm shovelling" to speed the work along, it's no wonder that Mitch and his muddy harem did an amazing job, quickly shifting roughly a tonne of soil per person. And still with enough time to play in the playground!
