Mission

Mud thigh with a side of wiggly worms

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Richard and I had quite a straightforward task today of re-creating a flower bed but without having any bulbs or plants to put in effectively we were just making mud. We stuck in our spades enthusiastically (being careful of the worms) and ripped out the weeds by their roots.

The mud was quite wet and sticky so we soon had it caked all over our shoes and I managed to get it all over my thighs from leaning on my spade for extra leverage.

When the garden looked presentable and the ornaments were back in place we said our goodbyes and left knowing when the time comes for planting it will be a great space for flowers.

As Richard and I had both ended up driving to the mission we decided to go for a compensatory 8k down troopers hill and along the river Avon and enjoyed a second splattering and caking of mud.
