Woking News: * A big welcome to Ruth who joined us for her first Group Run. We hope you enjoyed your run and we look forward to seeing you again soon. * Our Good Gym Member Run leader went off to the Love trails Festival over the weekend to help lead some runs. It looked a fab event! * A big Good Luck to Rebecca and James who is taking part in the Dinton Pastures 10km event tonight.
Last night at GoodGym
Last night we met at WWF. With one member being super keen at arriving an hour early. At the correct time of 18:45 we left the WWF and headed down the canal. With an easy run to warm up before reaching the woods. We arrived at All saints church. Greeted by Adrian and one of the retired ladies who helps to the clean the church. Our task for tonight was based inside the church. A task of moving all the chairs to one side, sweeping and hoovering the floor and then polishing all the chairs and then doing the same to the other side. This job usually takes 4 of them all morning. It took the GG team a half hour and with amazing team work and polishing skills. James even got an extra shine for himself:
A big well done to everyone on all the cleaning skills!
We headed back with some fartlek training along the canal... Fartlek which means "speed play" in Swedish, is continuous training with interval training. With 30 seconds recovery, 20 seconds lunging and 10 seconds sprinting all the way back along the canal. With a little stop right next to a busy park to show off our press up skills!!
Next Week We will be heading to Brockhill Care home - meet at WWF! On the way back we will pop into the crickters for a drink - so remember your pennies!!
