What a great night this evening. Loads of good things this happening evening. One, i christened my brand new "100" wings tee shirt. Two, its exactly one year since Mencap Bexley team join the Bexley Goodgym. Thanks so much for you support and friendship guys. And three, tonight we have Sarah and Susan both on 99 good deeds, and Peter on 49 good deeds, so next weeks run is going to be one awesome celebration at Bexley Goodgym.
Tonight we were out helping our friends at Greenwich and Bexley Hospice with a leaflet drop. They are advertising their mini marathon event and we thought who better to help them with this then our running group ;-) We split the group into two teams. The walkers covered one side of the road, the runners the other. With the runners really pushing it the aim was to do the entire length of the their road, then cross over, start delivering on the other side and try and catch the walkers before they got to a certain house number. Its a great way to keep both sides motivated, and there's certainly nothing wrong with some healthy competition.
With all the leaflets dropped we headed back to Crooklog via our favorite bridge. Well, the story is we just can't walk or run through this bridge, we have to wall sit it. What is wall sit i hear you ask. Well we assume the wall sit and one at a time, run and join the end of the line until we finally get through the tunnel. Its just a little painful on the quads.........
Anyway, thats it for another fab week at Bexley Goodgym. Job done!! Next week we're heading up to G&BH charity shop for a nice indoor task. So come on bet yourselves signed up. You can run or power walk it so theres no excuse. See ya there...........
