Report written by Rich Walker
A beautiful sunny ( if slightly hot ) evening saw 5 runners and 4 walkers go to Woodcroft nursery to meet Ferliene to help with their terracycle program.
Bags of many different types of wrappers had been collected by the nursery for recycling and our job was to help separate them into different types ( crisps, chocolate etc...)
Myself, Joel, Jenny, Martin and Erin ran from HQ at a steady pace to make sure we didn't overheat and also (and more importantly) to make sure we could chat. A slightly longer run than usual meant that by the time we got there Fay, Sallyann, Laurie and David were already well under way with the sorting.
With gloves distributed and boxes made we all got stuck into filling as many of them as we could and debating the best brand of crisp ( its Walkers lime and coriander poppadums btw).
Boxes filled it was time to pack and tidy up for our long run back. but not before Ferliene offered us some much needed cool water and David and Laurie produced a fantastic selection of ice creams to help sustain us until we got back to HQ.
A chatty run back and in no time we were saying our goodbyes. Thanks for coming tonight guys, what would have taken Ferliene days to sort has been done in less than an hour. Well done. We'll be back there next month to help sort more wrappers.
Next week we will be doing some leafleting and also collecting any old running shoes for JogOn before the task. Let us know if you are planning on bringing any with you.
Again, thanks for coming guys

Poppadums?! Is this what happens when I miss a week? Hopefully someone defended Thai sweet chili Sensations as the best crisp going.
