"Do you remember, the 21st of September?" I certainly will as it was my 100th parkrun! It may have taken me 5 1/2 years from my very first parkrun, but I've finally earned that black t-shirt! 😀

I decided to head to my local parkrun, Woking, so that friends and family could join. Adam and Becky from GoodGym came along, with Becky volunteering a tail walker. After long promising me that he'd come along to a parkrun some time, my partner Dan decided my 100th was the time - so a milestone for us both really! Dan's best friend Ant came along too, he hasn't run since July so it was great to get everyone running again.

I was the only person celebrating my 100th milestone at Woking's Saturday event, and another lady was celebrating her 50th. Having visited every party shop in Woking the day before, I only managed to get a sash that read 'It's my 100th birthday' - but most people got the idea! As I tackled the three laps, lots of people congratulated me and I got a cheer from the volunteers every time I passed them which kept me smiling the whole time. 🏃‍♀️

parkrun is always a great place to be, but especially when you're celebrating a milestone and get so much love from the community. Thank you so much to all the amazing volunteers, everyone who said 'well done' and of course the GoodGym lot for all their support! 🎉
