I had some Goodgym company in this afternoon session with our other Tracy Dean arriving at 2pm. Tracy has been a member of Goodgym since 2019, but this was the first time we had met. We had the same rotations as previous, and Tracy spent some time getting to know the ropes with me and then we split to do different jobs. It was busier in the afternoon and at one stage, patients were queueing up outside – thankfully, the rain had stopped, and we quickly got them into the warm. Today we learnt that the Church needed access for a prayer meeting from 6pm, so we had to clear the room, wipe down all surfaces and move furniture whilst also re-directing patients back to the surgery for the last 3 hours. Fortunately, we were able to move to the Oxford (Astra Zeneca) vaccine which meant that patients didn’t have to wait 15 minutes after vaccination, and we could move people through more quickly. It took a little while to make the transfer, but once again, the patients were wonderful, very understanding, helping to make the whole experience incredibly positive for everyone. With the session ending another successful day in terms of numbers passing through, my feet were pleased to be home and the weight off!
