It was a very warm evening, with a lot of hard graft - I hope everyone enjoyed their currys as part of their recovery!
After a slightly BadGym run, (Dave wielding spades certainly looked a bit sus!)we arrived at the Hub and got stuck in to breaking up some very dry soil, then shoveling it into smaller bags to be carried to an accessible exit for PCC to collect. Danger Dave, Lucy, Andy and Katie took turns shoveling and carrying. There was even a race with rubble, and a certain amount of cheating was definitely noted!
Judy and Val did a sterling job picking up litter and finding a decent number of lost toys too!
We even had time for a hula-hoop competition before we headed off - congratulations to Lucy and Katie for their winning efforts!

Intrepid GoodGymers took the roads, woods and waters for their Monday Miles this week. Laura was our early-bird, with an early morning cycle to the station, Sinéad made the most of her lunch break and Nia and her teeny GoodGymer headed out to their local Family Hub. Andy braved Southwick Golf Course for his run, whilst Dave hot-footed it to the train station on his way home from work. I think I got nearly as wet on my morning walk as I did at my evening swim!
From showers to sunshine, high winds to high temperatures, this was certainly a fickle day to get out and active!

Jen, Dave, Alice and I joined the Portsmouth Tree Wardens to water the very many young trees at the Cascades Tree Nursery.
First we helped set up a production line to fill the watering cans from the 100 litre tank and lined up & tipped the cannisters to fill the tank.
We watered, did a little litter pick and relocated a family of snails who had taken up residence in a watering can. Jen and Dave showed great balance and agility by standing on the wall to water the hard-to-reach trees.
