8 runners took to Blackweir parkrun, a wonderful way to start a Saturday morning. Blackweir fields are used by many people, runners, dog walkers, cyclists and those just out to enjoy the views. With so much traffic it seemed only right to give back to the park life that we all enjoy so much on a Saturday park run.

Armed with our bags and gloves we took to the trail and began our plogging adventure, chatting along the way, some even went off trail and into the trees to clear the ground. From beer bottles, to cans, plastic and all other wrappers, even a World's greatest Dad mug, we cleared it all.

We received some thanks as we went about our plogging, asked some lovely people to take some photos of us, and then it was time to head back. With some off for more running, others to missions or just home to relax.

Now for a song........

All the runners So many runners They all plog hand in hand Hand in hand through their plog-run

Know what I mean

I get up when I want except on Tuesdays when I get keenly awakened by Goodgym (Goodgym)

I put my shorts on, have a cup of tea and I think about leaving the house (Goodgym) I volunteer I sometimes do a mission too it gives me a sense of enormous wellbeing (Goodgym) And then I'm happy for the rest of the day safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit Of my heart devoted to it (Goodgym)
