Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
(To be sung to the tune of Jingle Bells!)
GoodGym gang, Goodgym gang, Running down road, Oh what fun it is to run to Easton Community Allotment!
Shoveling poop, moving muck, It's the GoodGym way, Oh what fun it is to run on a bright and freezing day!
Dashing through the town, Past the Christmas rush Up the path we go, Chatting all the way! Clad in red we are, It was a run quite far Each person was a star And we did't use a car!
Ohhhhh......
Ok, I'm out of song at the moment. 7 of us ran on a really cold and frosty day up to Easton Community Allotments. We call this place a green haven and whilst not as green as in the summer, it's still a little slice of magical garden in the heart of the city.
A very large pile of what is know in Spanish as mierda (aka esta interminable mierda pila) awaited us along with forks, spades and gloves. We piled in to the pile and started to shovel the manure in to wheelbarrows, then trundled them over to some compost bins. We also discovered that Richard is 'phototonic'... judge for yourselves, dear reader!
After our longer than usual run and thanks to moving all the muck, we stayed warm, so the icy chill of winter didn't really touch us but all too soon our time was up and with about 1/3 of the poop left to scoop we had to run back to Roll for the Soul.
So a smaller than usual bunch, but we made up for it with speed and efficiency! Hurrah! If this was your last run of 2014, thanks so much for coming and see you for a bigger, faster, fitter 2015!
