After finishing a couple of tasks in Hammersmith, Sevan and Kash headed back West to their Ealing homeland and didn't stop running until they reached Southall. A new garden in need was waiting to be discovered and conquered. It belonged to Mrs N who used to be an avid gardener but had to step down due to cancer and old age and hand over her duties to her husband - let's call him Mr N.

Mr N was the person who came out of the back garden to greet Sevan and Kash while they waited in the front, trying to decide whether to ring the bell at 13:59. He invited the GoodGymers to join him in weeding the flower bed and pots and offered them a variety of tools, including small pickaxes that were an excellent aid in exterminating the weeds.

Mr N entertained the GoodGymers with plenty of stories, from his involvement in flying with commercial and Air Force pilots to his work with juvenile offenders. He said he is looking forward to retirement and having more time to help his wife with maintaining the garden and renovating his Morris Minor classic car. An interesting fact: this car has the accelerator pedal in place of the brake pedal and vice versa which makes it quite tricky to drive.

While everyone in London is expecting to see planes when looking at the sky, Sevan and Kash had a chance to see a bird of prey instead, identified as a red kite by Mr N.

Halfway through the task, Mrs N came out to say hi and thank you to the GoodGymers. She said she was very grateful that Sevan and Kash came to help her and her husband with her beloved garden and told them about her love for roses. As her earlier promise to Mr N, Kash didn't mention to his wife the plant bulbs she dug out, based on the husband's recommendation.

Mr N was very pleased and inspired by the GoodGymers work in the garden and shared his plans about converting part of the beds on the opposite side into a vegetable patch. In less than 90 minutes the flower bed and the pots were weed-free and full of worms that came out to the surface of the soil. They were going to, according to Mr N, be used as an offering to a hungry robin.
