A sublime sixteen rolled up yesterday to roll up their sleeves on a warm and clear autumn eve. With a task cancellation, it was an Adventure Playground task inStead, funnily no complaints with running half the distance. Sure you guys will make up the miles this weekend.
Random Weekly Question was a topical one - with it being World Mental Health Day and all: "How do you relieve stress?" Seems we're quite an outdoorsy lot, run, bike and walk were the most common answers. Gardening, sketching, talking and doing something totally different some other good solutions. Going to the pub surprisingly only mentioned once!
In a northerly direction we trotted, to level out some wood-chip, move a load of junk and shift a ginormous hamster wheel. We're talking 9 by 9 foot, apparently kids were getting carried away on it and breaking too many bones. So they de-constructed it and are now planning on how to use it next. We managed to shift it over a few metres, probably 200kg and up, great show of team work and power. Such clean synchronisation of our large group always great to witness.
Our 4 x 4 relay at the end was embraced with passion and commitment. Dave ran into a bush, not sure if accidentally or in celebration, good effort either way. It was a super close one, with Olly putting in a big third leg to pull clear for his team.
Next week we're on the Docks of Cody. SIGN UP SIGN UP
