Mel, Rachel and Tracy joined the weekly volunteer group in Victoria Park. Along with the permanent gardeners and Goodgym, there were a couple of other groups, which was lucky as we had approximately 2,500 plants to put in 10 beds alongside one of the paths. We were mainly in charge of the geraniums, but each bed had been marked out in a pattern, with red Calla Lilies as a centre piece, and 2-3 other plant types. The time went quickly and we were very glad to get a coffee at the park cafe once we'd finished before leaving. It was very satisfying to see all the plants in, and our work was much appreciated by the park gardeners.
