The clocks โฐ sprung forward last night and we have lighter nights to look forward to! ๐ A lovely lazy ๐ด Sunday afternoon litter pick ๐ฏ along the beach ๐ was perfectly timed for what must be the hottest day of the year so far. โ๏ธ๐ 3 GGers collected 2 bags of rubbish, including random items of 2 scarves and and a hot water bottle! We enjoyed a well earned cold drink afterwards and were already planning a return visit. Itโs a lovely location. we can even triple duty with donations for Ukraine and feeding the swans. Watch this space for another visit.

Two goodgymers, two dogs, two pairs of trainers and two socks on this lunchtime litterpick.
With Olly and Buster cheering us on, it didn't take long to transform this green space.

Congratulations on a very productive Monday, everyone!
We had bags of litter collected all over Portsmouth and the surrounding areas, from play areas to car parks.
Special kudos to Andy for managing a double good deed by reuniting a lost phone with its owner. And also to mini GGer Alice, who was unfortunately thwarted in her attempt to to pick up an old car tyre with a litter picker.
Nice one!

The area we'd planned to litter pick was remarkably clean, so we decamped to further down Milton Common to find some more litter!
Amongst our finds were a torch, a bike lock, and a bottle of water buried alarmingly deep in the mud!
We filled a bin bag in just half an hour - another one off our pledge for the #gbspringclean

The weather forecast meant a change of plan from Brenda at the People's Memorial.
We were tasked with clearing out the weeds from the flag bed and planting some colourful flowers.
The favourite was definitely the Viola Fizzle Sizzle!!
We then cleared the other flower bed of weeds and said our goodbyes.
A much clearer, brighter space!

The first day of the Great British Spring Clean got off to a great start in Bransbury Park. We were joined by two fantastic mini Goodgymers who litterpicked very enthusiastically and two very cute dogs.
With 8 of us busy picking we cleared quite a bit of litter in our half hour.
