Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
The sunshine and lots of regular faces returned for this week’s GoodGym Bristol run. This week we ran back to one of our favourite spots – Easton Community Allotment. This meant a longish run out along the cycle path, which despite looking pretty flat is deceptively up hill on the way out of Bristol.
This week’s task was to clear back some vegetation and flytipping from around the front of the allotment, carefully leaving the elder tree (bad joke!) and then to start work on another patch by the woodpile. We split into two groups and made quick work of the task- transforming the entrance to the allotment. We were even rewarded with the last apples of the summer for our hard work.
The run back into Bristol was fast and atmospheric as the sky grew black. Great work by everyone and really nice to see some old faces back after various summer exploits.
For next week’s run we’ll be meeting as usual at Roll for the Soul at 6.30 on Wednesday evening. The run will be a bit shorter next week so great for any new runners. Everyone welcome of course!
