Suns out legs out
On a sunny hot and relaxed bank holiday 6 trusty GoodGymers met up at Splashpoint for tonights task.
It was great for Nick and I to be back after an extended holiday in Australia especially as we appeared to have brought the hot weather back with us! Massive thanks to Beth and Tara for covering so spectacularly in my absence and I hope to catch up with you both soon.
This evening we welcomed Paul's husband John to the group as a one off bank holiday treat. So good to see you both. Check out the great photo of them doing good together.
We also congratulated Gill who arrived on her bike after her 3 Forts marathon success yesterday . Special mention to Anne who also completed the half marathon and took a well earned rest today. Massive kudos to you both!
Regular GoodGymers Belinda and Barbara completed the team this evening.
We had a quick chat about the seafront flower bed planting which is happening next Sunday at planter number 41 outside the Pavilion. We will aim to be there from 12:30 onwards.
Superstar Barbara has already spray painted a small pair of trainers for decoration . All time plants and decorations warmly welcomed. Lets get everyone talking about GoodGym Worthing !
A sizzling hot run
Tonights task of wild flower planting was in my home stretch of Goring greensward and what a perfect evening for it.
We took a steady run along a packed seafront full of happy holiday makers before arriving at the 'patch' where we met Anthony our trusty park ranger.
Our task for this evening was to scatter wild flower seeds followed by a seagull rain dance and finally some raking and levelling. It has to be said that the rain dance did attract some interested looks and comments from the locals but, as ever, it provided plenty of amusement for all of us.
Fizz not fitness
After some speedy and efficient team work we gathered together for a team photo before heading off for, wait for it, NOT fitness but some fizz and nibbles on picnic blankets on the grass.
Just in case a GG big brother is reading this report it was a one off occasion in celebration of Nicks and my 30th wedding anniversary today together with a bank holiday treat night !
It has to be said this was a one of skive of the usual burpees ( until the next time!) and not to be expected next week for all that missed it :) However its is Nicks Birthday on the next bank holiday.....
Belinda and Gill headed off on their trusty bikes , others elected to take a lift whilst Barbara, very impressively ran back.
No hiccups in tonights cocktail
What a wonderful return it was for me tonight. Sun,sea, running, good deeds, lovely people, great vibes and fizz
A hearty thank you to you all for all the warm wishes that Nick and I have received today .
Its great to be back :)
