Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
9 runners ran to a local community garden, paved a stone path, ran back
The second one of 2016 was an adventure. Of the fun, mucky and rewarding variety.
We pootled down to Plaistow, led by our trusted navigation expert, Tim. 2.2 miles breezed by. We were met by the lovely Jacqui at the Urban Wilderness centre. We quickly got stuck in, moving some benches. Then onto a bit of paving, it seems most Newham GoodGym runners have at one point in their life been a top class landscape gardener. Grace, quickly designed a lovley brick-work pattern. Lola, hammered down the bricks with power and precision. Railla and Hin got stuck in, shifting bricks swiftly and speeding things up. Kanika and Diya likewise, like a well oiled machine you were. As someone mentioned mid task "we should go into business" - I would certainly invest all my savings (hey, every tenner helps). We then cruised back to the Aquatics centre, with some multi-geared efforts for the speed merchants up front.
I personally had a cracking Wednesday evening, here's to the next one being even better.
