This evening we celebrated the new GoodGym x Raleigh partnership on our monthly task at our riverside plot that we take care of for Richmond Council.

Starting at Tap Tavern as always, we spoke about the latest news and upcoming tasks before getting a handle on the warm up and practising some wheelie quick feet to get our legs fired up.

The journey to the Three Pigeons plot is about 2km but we broke this up with a speed walkers vs sprinters challenge across Richmond Green that was no easy ride, followed by some shadow boxing at the riverside for some coordination, aerobic and strength conditioning. Some great work by all to tyre them out!

Once we reached the plot, we had been left very precise instructions by task owner Anita that we needed to get our thinking helmets on for!

Two pairs headed straight to the Three Pigeons for some direct planting and weeding on the plot, another set about clearing the leaves around the growing Aliums and the rest made a chain of action to collect soil from the compost heap, prepare pots and plant seeds for germination. Lots to do, no time for a brake!

Time for a quick group photo before heading back to the Tap, brilliantly aided by new starter James who had unwittingly brought his own Raleigh bike with him for the shot!

Thank you everyone, we will be back there on Monday 8th May for the BIG HELP OUT and a group picnic, sign up now!
