Tonight 9 runners ran to help out at the Greenwich and Bexley charity shop.
We met outside the Crook Log Leisure centre, had a quick catch up and welcomed Katrin from Greenwich. It was good to have Sarah and Johnny join us! Well done to Johnny for running his 200th parkrun on Saturday!
We headed over to the lawn for our warm up. After a quick few dynamic stretches, we had a team game of noughts and crosses ⭕️ ❌ It's funny how a simple game can get so competitive so quickly!
It was a win for the crosses!
We set out on our run, straight up to the charity shop. On arrival Chris supplied us with bottles of water and directed us to what tasks needed doing.
We had a team upstairs and a team downstairs. The upstairs team were tagging, hanging and sizing clothes donations while the downstairs team tidied, hoovered and re-hung the clothes that had fallen. We then all helped out upstairs to get the tagged clothes hung and sized. It was then time to head back to base.
Next week we are at the Danson Youth Centre helping them prep for an event.
Until next time... Happy Running!
