With Jer back from his hefty endurance race sporting a new haircut, he was straight up a ladder to dish out another one! This time on a tree.
Back in the Quaker Burial Ground to prepare the garden for Autumn, the team set about clearing walls of crawling ivy, digging up deep rooted plants, cutting back weeds, watering beds and thinning out trees.
Rounding off with a few packs of biscuits and taking in the view!
We are restoring a burial garden/ ground which has been located in Widcombe, Bath since the 1830s. The burial ground is no longer used for burials but there are still occasional scatterings of ashes. The garden had become very overgrown so we are restoring the borders and in the process uncovering hidden memorial stones. We are also creating a new wildflower patch and hope to encourage more wildlife to the garden. We would like to open up this beautiful space for quiet meditation and reflection not just by Quakers but the local community.
