The delights of GG gardening missions is that you never really know what to expect when you knock on the beneficiaries door - and so it proved today for Hilary and I when we realised that Miss A's garden hadn't had a decent haircut in a long long time. But with the sun out and Miss A in a very cheery mood (helped no doubt by the sun being out), we got to work to try and tidy up her garden and patio area.

Miss A had a mower, which thankfully started up okay when we plugged it in and proved remarkably adept at tackling the overgrowth that was her garden. Having said that, we did encounter a few branches and other items lurking in the deep grass that the machine didn't take a liking too. After a while the mower got a bit temperamental and we let it cool off as we tackled the grass and weeds growing between the paving slabs.

Fortunately it agreed to restart and allowed us to finish off the trim and tidy up, and as Miss A so eloquently put it "I can see my garden again", and on that note we left her to enjoy her new found view on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
