Squatty training...

Our task for this week involved helping our friends and hosts at Hollybush with their fantastic community garden. Due to the proximity of the task to our meeting place (<10m), Tom took us for a dynamic, mainly squat-based, warm-up in a nearby park. This was after he swanned around with a superbly frightening toy that he found inside and regaled us with tales of his clumsiness.

Garden angels...

We were tasked with moving an array of garden ornaments and potted plants around the garden, a job which was done in record time. Hollybush had kindly set up some lighting and laid tarpaulin, to help the task go as smoothly and safely as possible.

Clowning glory...

In recognition of our efforts, we were presented with an award. This was in the form of the most terrifying clown you could ever wish to see, which will haunt all present in nightmares for many a year.

Careless Vespa...

We ran up to London Fields for some interval training, after some helpful tips on running technique from Tom. Unfortunately, after two hard-run sets (of 2min, 1min and 30s runs), our session was cut short by a couple of guys racing around the park on motorised scooters, acting like a pair of grand prix. In true GoodGym style we weren't to be deterred, however, and finished off our intervals on the streets back to Hollybush.

Desiccation's what you need...

We stretched indoors, where Ivo supplied us all with some delicious dried fruit, an ideal snack after a good workout.

Thanks for a great session,

David
