Sixteen scintillating GoodGymmers ran 5k to post flyers for the Syrian Kitchen.

Meeting at the Phoenix, we were joined by Kirsten for her first GoodGym run: welcome! Kirsten had seen one of our community missions reported in the local paper. (GG Barnet are basically famous now.)

We were also joined by Task Force Fay on her BIRTHDAY which was also the occasion of her 50th GOOD DEED. Quite the day. Brilliant work Fay and happy birthday for yesterday. We marked the occasion in signature style: Barnet Biscuits, Social Sec Sarah made an amazing GG cake, and I made them all run up a hill.

We were hoping to flyer for the Phoenix, but their new season program had not arrived in time, so we swapped around and posted flyers for the Syrian Kitchen - a brilliant organisation supporting refugees in Barnet. We are planning to host our GGB social at the Syrian Kitchen later this month so ask me or Sarah for details if you haven't heard yet.

We set off into East Finchley, divided into teams and got posting. There is no avoiding hills on our route, so there was lots of running up and down hilly streets to make sure we got all the flyers done. It was a rapid effort, running over 5k all in all, and we had a fast run back for biscuits and birthday celebrations.

We're off to Northway Gardens next week so remember to bring a torch if you can!! See you soon team
