Another Monday and another early morning litter pick towards the beach as the weather had been warm the day before. Kat and Jo met at the usual early time of 0530 armed with our pickers, bags and also wet weather clothing as it was windy and raining. We collected a fair bit of rubbish this morning, main culprits were wet wipes, napkins and bottle tops. We did find a metal straw that someone had used instead of plastic but it was left on the beach.
We then headed towards Canoe Lake on our walk back and picked up the leftovers of a party due to the plastic cups and balloons. We had to stop though otherwise we would have been there all morning.
