Tonight, 6 GoodGymer's helped at Sparkhill Foodbank on the clothes bank side of operations to assist Narthex, a charity which does great and much needed work at resourcing those in need.

We initially carried out some sorting in the upstairs area for the newly designated homeware section where we were largely sorting through bedding, towels and curtains. Again, Amy oversaw operations and made sure we were organising all the items correctly. Tom showed super strength to help lift a cage upstairs to store duvets, whilst Miriam did a great job at labeling up boxes and also at making them have a lovely smell of apples due to the cleaner she was using. Eve was great at getting stuck in and was sorting, labeling and everything in between whilst Amy and I, over many trips, transported relevant items upstairs for sorting.

Once we had finished sorting in this area, we set about with clearing and organising another room which had baby seats, bouncers, electronics, crockery and even some Christmas decorations in it. As you will see from the photos, we were able to make a big difference to the rooms we worked in, clearing lots of space and organising items, and we even found a radio to turn on and were able to see the likes of Tom and Miriam having a boogie!

It was a fun shift and we look forward to heading back in a fortnight.
